Dr. John Artz, DVM
Dr. John Artz was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is always happy to talk about his hometown. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. For six years now, Dr. Artz has served the people of Park City, and their pets, at Silver Creek Animal Clinic. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an active community that shares his commitment to animal welfare.
Dr. Artz lives in Old Town with his fiancé, Shelley, his Red Heeler dog, Cricket, and his cats, Oscar and Ziggy Marley. He continues to play ice hockey, his first love, as much as possible here in town, along with skiing, mountain biking, and everything else the area has to offer. He may also be found exploring the western mountains and deserts on his motorcycle.
Dr. Evan Caplis
Dr. Caplis developed his connection with animals while growing up on a farm in rural Louisiana. He graduated from School of Veterinary Medicine, Louisiana State University, in 1997. Since that time, he has enjoyed working with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and exotic companion animals. Though he still has a place in his heart for all animals, he has narrowed his scope of practice to dogs and cats to better focus on their needs. His areas of interest include emergency medicine and small animal surgery.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the mountains, hiking, biking, skiing, and camping with his dogs.
Dr. Tyler Stiens, DVM
Originally from Northwestern Missouri, Dr. Tyler Stiens is a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1993 and moved to Utah. He joined Silver Creek Animal Clinic in 2007 and, soon thereafter, became a partner.
Dr. Stiens is very active outdoors. He enjoys time in the mountains and the desert, especially when it involves his dogs, horses, falcon, and good friends. When not playing, you’ll find him at Silver Creek Animal Clinic doing his best to keep your furry friends healthy and happy.
